Dear Friends,
We're moving forward with plans for the International Conference, Rally, and March on the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, April 30 to May 2 in New York City.
Are you thinking about coming, but not sure where to stay for the weekend? No worries; we've got you covered. Housing arrangements have been made by the Fellowship of Reconciliation with local New York houses of worship for FREE; so no need to worry about exorbitant NYC hotel prices!
OR
Do you live in the NYC tri-state area and willing to house other travelers? Please let us know if you have a bed, couch, bedroll, or floor that you would be willing to let another peacemaker use for the weekend.
So, if you need housing or are able to provide it, just let us know by replying to this email.
Here are some of the details around the weekend's events:
From April 30 to May 2, the Fellowship of Reconciliation and 200+ other peace organizations will sponsor an International Conference in New York City on the eve of the review of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. Every five years, a report is delivered to the United Nations, which reviews not only the compliance of nations with the treaty's provisions but also recommends additional steps toward the elimination of nuclear weapons.
The cost for the international conference, to take place at Riverside Church, will be modest $30 for adults and $20 for students with ID. Download the registration form (PDF).
