Mark Johnson is the Executive Director of the Fellowship of Reconciliation. He received his doctorate in sociology from Columbia in 1981; did alternative service as a conscientious objector in Lebanon, living and teaching in Beirut for six years. He served as director of the Silver Bay Association and president of the Lake George Land Conservancy. He sees himself as a poet doing the work of a peacemaker.
