Friends,
FOR members and affiliates in the Seattle area are invited to attend Reclaiming and Nurturing Your Mental, Physical, and Spiritual Health, a two-part series of workshops designed to promote overall health and well-being.
The workshops will be presented by FOR National Council member Dr. Vishaka Smith, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Fellowship of Reconciliation!
Drawing from more than 20 years of research and experience in strategic planning for sustainability, healthy food preparation, and a lifelong practice of Vipassana meditation, Dr. Smith will guide participants in:
- discerning personal health goals and objectives
- evaluating current health status with respect to habits and lifestyles
- creating and implementing an individualized plan to reach health objectives
Major health principles to be covered are inspired by Dr. Leon Chaitow's book The Body/Mind Purification Program: How to be Healthy in a Polluted World and Dr. Joel Fuhrman, the best-selling author of Eat to Live!
The classes promise to be fun, informational, easy to digest, and will provide supportive structure to work toward the goals. Information will be presented in two phases of four classes each.
