Friends,

For the first time in many years, a group of leaders of the International Fellowship of Reconciliation (IFOR) will travel together to the United States this spring. Fifteen IFOR representatives from 11 different countries will meet on March 24 in Atlanta, hosted by the Atlanta chapter of FOR-USA.

The Atlanta FOR chapter invites the wider community of FOR members and friends to attend a special celebratory event to welcome these global peace activists -- from Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and North America -- to the United States:

Welcome International FOR peace party

Join us to hear report-backs about their worldwide work for active nonviolence and human rights, and to share with them reflections from your own grassroots and global efforts on behalf of justice and peace.

We'll also take time to honor the late Dr. Frank J. Ostrowski, a beloved long-time IFOR representative to the United Nations and the founder of Alternatives to Violent Acts.

This event is cosponsored by the American Friends Service Committee, whose Southeast Regional AFSC office will host the program.
