Friends,

The Fellowship of Reconciliation has a long and public history working for peace, justice, and nonviolence, and through our campaigns and speaking tours, you've seen many of our program staff hard at work.

Dr. Hillary GastonBut peacebuilding takes work in the background, too -- dedicated work like that of our Chief Operating Officer, Rev. Dr. Hillary Gaston, Sr.

Dr. Gaston, who will be retiring from the Fellowship of Reconciliation later this year, has helped us ensure the stable, sustainable operations of FOR throughout the many levels of our organizational structure. He came to FOR with a broad and diverse experience as past president of New York Theological Seminary, teacher at Samuel Gompers High School, financial advisor, military veteran, law enforcement agent, and minister, and we are truly grateful for his years of dedication and service to FOR.

As a result of Dr. Gaston's impending departure, FOR has a job opening for a Director of Operations, based at our headquarters in Nyack, Rockland County, New York.

Join us on an upcoming FOR international delegation!

We've just received word that members of our May peace delegation to Iran have been approved for visas -- and we're looking forward to reporting back on their people-to-people outreach, a form of civilian diplomacy FOR has undertaken since the 1920s.

We invite you to join us on one of our delegations this year:

Donate now to support FOR's global civilian diplomacy delegations and work for peace and human rights.

  • At least 5 years similar work experience.
  • Strong commitment to faith-based nonviolence, multiculturalism and FOR's mission and vision.
  • Good interpersonal skills; ability to relate to and communicate orally and in writing with staff, National Council members and FOR members.
