At each stop on the Caravan of Peace, people have called on President Obama to stop the flow of guns to Mexico. To date, the caravan has gathered more than 70,000 signatures for the petition -- but we need your name! We're hoping to reach 100,000 signature by the close of our caravan in Washington next week.
Sign the petition to President Obama asking him to stop assault weapons smuggling into Mexico.
Right now, the president is accepting his party's renomination for president. There is no better time to call on him to show leadership in ending this gun violence in Mexico. As a partner in the Caravan for Peace and a longstanding peace organization, the Fellowship of Reconciliation believes strongly in this movement for peace, justice and reconciliation in Mexico.
Too often we hear scare stories about immigrants bringing violence from Mexico into the United States. In fact, it is U.S. guns and U.S. gun policies that are fueling violence in Mexico.
Join us now and help us fight U.S. gun violence in Mexico.
In peace and with determination,
Mark C. Johnson, Ph.D.
