Friends,

On Sunday, Sept. 23, FOR Executive Director Mark Johnson will be speaking at an event at the Ethical Humanist Society of Chicago in Skokie.

Mark JohnsonWe hope you'll join us for this free event, and invite your friends:

After War: The Way Out and What Follows
Sunday, Sept. 23, 10:30 AM
Ethical Humanist Society of Chicago, 7574 Lincoln Ave, Skokie, IL
View details or get directions

Our two most prominent war fronts, Iraq and Afghanistan, are in transition and the anti-war community is thinking more seriously about issues of reconciliation which ought to follow warring engagements.

Even the consideration of post-war responsibilities can contribute to the process of ending wars (specifically and generally), so Mark's remarks will address both work that is being done to try to bring these -- and less widely recognized wars such as that in Colombia or the conflict in Syria -- to closure, and what our responsibilities are to peoples who have been a part of these conflicts once they are over.

We hope to see you there!
