This month in Nyack, Emergency Peace Teams and the Fellowship of Reconciliation are teaming up to provide a two-day interactive workshop focused on the following themes:

  • Behavior in the face of direct violence
  • Deescalating heated conflicts
  • Choosing the best method for intervention
  • Communication skills and mediation techniques

You are invited to join us for this special training opportunity to further your conflict competence!

Peijman Kouretchian and Mica StumpfEPT Trainers: Mica Stumpf and Peijman Kouretchian have a passion for nonviolence, teaching it to everyone from youth groups to incarcerated veterans. Mica received her B.A. in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of California, Berkeley. In 2013 she spent six weeks working with an international peace team in Jeju Island, South Korea. She and Peijman also work as Kingian Nonviolence trainers with East Point Peace Academy. Both Peijman and Mica have trained in restorative justice and mediation. Peijman has five years of experience in high conflict entertainment security, mediating within diverse populations in times of overt violence. In 2013 they co-founded Emergency Peace Teams.
