Fellowship of Reconciliation

In less than two months, FOR will be 100!

One whole century of persevering for peace through the way of nonviolence is significant and calls for a BIG BIRTHDAY celebration. So, FOR staff and the centennial planning committee have been hard at work on some very special plans that include an exhibit, reception, documentary film screening, peace tower unveiling, multi-faith service, another reception, a silent auction, and a grand finale GALA DINNER.

Get your special discounted tickets for a table at the Gala Dinner now!

The gala dinner culminating days of events will offer everyone an opportunity to break bread with FOR’s Honorary Committee members (see last page of Spring 2014 Witness), 2015 Peace Award recipients (TBA soon!), and other cornerstones of the FOR community at historic Riverside Church!

When: Saturday, Nov. 7, 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM
Where: The Riverside Church (South Hall), 490 Riverside Drive, New York, NY.
Cost/Audience: Tickets begin at $140, or $150 which includes the cocktail reception.

Or purchase a table for 10 at a discount for $1250!

AND, for a limited time only, FOR is offering a further discount for tables: for the next month, until October 18th, you can purchase tables for 10 for $1200!

Register and reserve your seat or your discounted table.

Dinner guests will enjoy musical performances by Bethany Yarrow, Rufus Cappadocia, and Joanne Shenandoah and get a sneak peak of the FOR documentary trailer while enjoying a delicious meal provided by Soleil Caterers.

Bethany (daughter of folk legend Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul, & Mary) & Rufus are an incredible cello and voice duo that slide elegantly between soul, funk and folk. Rufus, the first call groove/Hendrix cellist in NYC, creates a bed of deep groove over which Bethany sings with a rare grace and power.

Joanne Shenandoah, is a Grammy Award winner, with over 40 music awards (including a record 13 Native American Music awards) and 17 recordings.  She has captured the hearts of audiences all over the world, from North and South America, South Africa, Europe, Australia, and Korea, with praise for her work to promote universal peace. “Joanne Shenandoah is one of the finest tributes to Native American Music." - Neil Young

We invite you to reserve your ticket or discounted table for the Gala Dinner now!

The Centennial Dinner is a time for community fellowship and the establishing of a financial foundation on which FOR can move into a new century!

We look forward to breaking bread and celebrating 100 years with you!

Kristin, Jonette, Gretchen, and the rest of the FOR team.
