Fellowship of Reconciliation

Friends,

The Stony Point Center (SPC) is enjoying a bountiful harvest and wants to share it with you!

Please join SPC this Sunday, October 11th from 3:00 to 7:00, for their second annual Farm-to-Table Gala -- Harvest Dinner and Campus Fair!

There are lots of reasons why "farm-to-table" is becoming so popular. Besides the wholesome yumminess, it's a hopeful sign that our planet will continue to thrive! SPC cooks "farm-to-table" not just because it tastes good and is good for you, but also because it is a fundamental part of building a society that supports sustainable agriculture.

SPC’s Farm-to-Table Gala is not just a dinner; it's a community feast for justice and peace. Stony Point Center is not just a conference center; it's a space of nurture, for cultivating, organizing and transformation.

In addition to offering scrumptious food and nourishing camaraderie at the Gala, SPC will present the Second Annual Living Traditions Award to Jun Yasuda, a Nun in the Japanese Nipponzan Myohoji order residing at the Grafton Peace Pagoda in Grafton, New York. Jun-san, as she is affectionately known, has been a steadfast presence in the movements for peace, against nuclear weapons, and in solidarity with indigenous peoples movements in North America and internationally.

Then it’s time for the after party!

Stony Point Center is pleased to announce that singer-songwriter OMNIA HEGAZY will perform a benefit concert at 7:30 pm following SPC's second annual Farm-to-Table Gala. All gala attendees, as well as anyone else, are welcome to come and hear this fearless Egyptian-Italian songstress!

Please see the Stony Point Center website for more information about the Gala, the 2015 Living Tradition Award, and the Omnia Hegazy concert. And visit their Farm-to-Table Gala facebook event page to see ten reasons why you will certainly want to be at SPC this Sunday!

I hope to see you there!

With gratitude for SPC and our bountiful earth,

Linda Kelly
