After the short screening, we will have a lively discussion with Julia de la Cruz of the Coalition of Immokalee Workers. We will talk about the conditions historically faced by farmworkers in this country, and how the CIW Workers has partnered with consumers, growers, and 14 multi-billion-dollar retailers to transform the Florida tomato industry through the Fair Food Program -- a proven, worker-led solution to abuse in U.S. agriculture.

The Coalition of Immokalee Workers is a farmworker-led human rights organization internationally recognized for its groundbreaking work in social responsibility, food justice and the fight against human trafficking.

Come learn about how you can get involved in the movement for Fair Food by participating in the CIW's upcoming major mobilization: the 2016 Workers' Voice Tour!

Allies from Westchester and Rockland counties are organizing a bus to New York City on Thursday, March 3 to join Florida farmworkers and hundreds of their allies as they march to the offices of Wendy's board chairman Nelson Peltz, to call on the final fast-food hold-out to join the Fair Food Program!
