Fellowship of Reconciliation

Friends,

On Thursday, FOR will host an hour-long national conversation with artist-activists Rev. Osagyefo Sekou (FOR Bayard Rustin Fellow) and Jay-Marie Hill about their new album of social justice music, "The Revolution Has Come."

This timely new nine-track compilation of original new "movement music" was released before Beyoncé's landmark, controversial performance of her new song "Formation" on Feb. 7, and before Kendrick Lamar rocked the Grammy Awards a week later with his powerful rendition of "Alright" and "The Blacker the Berry."

A conversation on "The Revolution Has Come"
with Rev. Osagyefo Sekou and Jay-Marie Hill
Thursday, Feb. 25
8:00 PM Eastern, 5:00 PM Pacific

RSVP for this free online conversation.

It was also released just one week before Rev. Sekou's nationally-covered trial for "Praying While Black" in Ferguson, MO, for which a jury found him not guilty. Our open conversation will discuss the making of this groundbreaking album and explore the role of music as social protest, as exhibited by these recent headline events.

If you're interested in joining this free online conversation, please RSVP now. We look forward to speaking with you at 8:00 PM Eastern, 5:00 PM Pacific this Thursday for an exciting program!
