Fellowship of Reconciliation

Dear Friends,

A reminder that tonight (Wednesday) at 8:00 p.m. ET FOR will host a conversation with our international delegation to the first-ever United Nations drug policy reform summit.

Register now for our UNGASS Debrief Call TONIGHT, April 27 at 8:00 p.m. ET.

FOR delegation to UNGASSMembers of FOR's international delegation will discuss their experiences at this landmark gathering held last week in New York City, and discuss next steps. We welcome you to join the conversation and share how global drug policies have affected your community.

FOR's UNGASS delegation members were (from left to right, in photo): International FOR International Coordinator Rev. Lucas Johnson, FOR-USA Campaigns & Strategy Director Anthony Grimes, Meet the Middle East Director Iman Jodeh, American Friends Service Committee's Wage Peace Coordinator John Lindsay-Poland, FOR-USA Executive Director Rev. Kristin Stoneking, and Chile SERPAJ Regional Director Carlos Martinez.

The U.N. Special Session on the World Drug Problem brought forth the personal stories, as well as geopolitical framing, of how the global "war on drugs" has effectively criminalized entire populations -- particularly communities of color -- and militarized vast regions of the world, instead of using a harm reduction approach to compassionately treat people's addictions and health crises.

Please register to join us tonight at 8pm ET / 7pm CT / 6pm MT / 5pm PT. (Details on how to join the call, by phone or video/computer, are provided upon registration.)

Peace,

Ethan Vesely-Flad
