Fellowship of Reconciliation

Friends,

Two weeks ago, I wrote to you about the youth activists from around the country that FOR-USA and Oregon FOR are funding to come to our Centennial Conference this July in Seabeck, WA, and explained that a few of the "Seabeck Scholars" need help with travel expenses.

Many of you responded with generous gifts. Thank you!

We are now half way to realizing our goal to support these amazing young people, and we still need your help!

Last time, you learned about Nyle, a minister and organizer from Newark, NJ, and Ayla, a high school student working for undocumented students' rights.

Today, I'd like to introduce you to Ebony (Ebo) Williams, a young racial justice organizer in St. Louis.

Like Nyle and Ayla, Ebo needs your donation to help her get to the Centennial Conference.

Ebo Williams

Ebo is one of the leaders of the Lost Voices, Ferguson Frontline, and Witness for the Truth for the Truth Initiative, and works for Michael Brown Sr. in his foundation Chosen for Change.

As part of Chosen for Change, Ebo (center) launched Chosen Diamonds, a program to build self esteem and healthy choices in girls in the St. Louis area. "We give others who have been affected in oppression -- as well as us -- a chance to make alternative choices," Ebo says.

"This is an amazing opportunity!" Ebo wrote of her invitation to the Centennial Conference. She's looking forward to "bridging the gaps of the youth" to build leadership in her community -- and FOR wants to be there to support her.

But Ebo needs your help to get from St. Louis to the Centennial Conference.

Donate to the Seabeck Scholars fund so we can support the work of Ebo and 30 other young activists!

Thank you!
