Fellowship of Reconciliation

Friends,

Kathy Kelly, founder of Voices for Creative Nonviolence and a widely-respected activist and author, will be speaking later this month near Chicago, and we hope you can join us!

The West Suburban Faith-Based Peace Coalition is celebrating their annual peace essay contest, honoring the 1928 Kellogg-Briand Pact in which the United States and many other countries officially renounced war. Winners of this year's contest will be announced at the event.

Keynote speaker Kathy Kelly has advocated for victims of militarized drones and warfare the world over. She was present for the "shock and awe" bombing of Iraq, "Operation Cast Lead" in Gaza, and has worked closely with the Afghan Peace Volunteers in Kabul.

You can join the fundraising event on Saturday, Aug. 27 at 11:00 AM in Glen Ellyn for $55.

Learn more about the event on Facebook, or send your name, email address and check for $55 to WSFPC, 213 S. Wheaton Ave, Wheaton IL 60187.

WSFPC is an FOR affiliate. We hope to see you there!
